15 Ridiculous Cover Versions That Are Better Than The Original

5. Save Ferris Performs Come On Eileen

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HCzWPBR30Nk In the 90s, ska enjoyed a surge of popularity in the U.S. Bands like The Mighty, Mighty Bosstones and Reel Big Fish enjoyed a great amount of airplay and music videos showing on our televisions. In the mid-90s, the band Save Ferris came onto the scene and had a hit with their cover of the old Dexys Midnight Runners song "Come On Eileen." This was a more up tempo version of the 80s classic and featured vocals by the lovely Monique Powell. The video even features Dexys frontman Kevin Rowland in a cameo, complete with overalls as he appeared in the original video for the song. It's a very fun, infectious song and it's almost impossible not to be cheered up by it upon hearing it.
