Being a DJ means getting used to a wide variety of people who exhibit annoying personality traits, whether it's being incapable of handling their drinks or desperately trying to ingratiate themselves into your circle of friends under the false impression you're going to introduce them to someone even more famous. Perhaps one of the most annoying personality types DJs have to deal with are the wannabe promoters who believe that, despite having only met you five minutes ago, know exactly what it is you're all about and consider themselves the only viable candidate to taking you all the way to the top. Like the big-headed DJ, the wannabe promoter is often completely in love with him or herself while at the same time utterly clueless as to how annoying they actually are. You probably won't be able to avoid them, but at least you can ignore them.
