Perhaps one of the most enduring myths about becoming a DJ is that it's an instant path to a life of having a string of sexy ladies attached to your arm, as if simply playing music is an irresistible aphrodisiac which transforms you into a love machine. While it is true that some people perhaps do have more luck with the opposite sex once they start to become known, the flip side of the DJ life is that keeping a relationship going can be very tricky indeed. After a while, dating a DJ can be a frustrating thing, not least because they're always working weekends and never have the time to go on a date. From loitering around the booth waiting for them to finish their set so you can go home, to growing sick and tired of the same music being played over and over again, the lifestyle of the DJ inevitably ends up grating on their partners.
