Being a DJ means essentially one thing - getting people to dance. There's nothing more satisfying that seeing hundreds if not thousands of people dancing wildly with their arms in the air as you mix in a killer tune. The pleasure of lighting up the dancefloor is a hard one to match, but on the flipside there's always the danger that you'll scare the punters off by taking a risk and playing something different, or simply because you completely misjudged the crowd and took them down low when you should've been hitting the next peak. There is no greater indication that you've messed up big time than an empty dancefloor - if that starts to become a common occurrence then perhaps being a DJ isn't something you're cut out for. DJs, what other experiences are all too frequent? Why not let us know in the comments below?
