When you go into someone's place of work it's generally considered poor form to start prodding whatever equipment they use for the job - no one would walk into a hospital and start poking around in the operating theatre, or a classical concert and start plucking away at the strings of the cellist. Yet for some reason (most likely related to alcohol) plenty of people seem to think that tampering with someone's tools is perfectly acceptable it that person happens to be a DJ. Well it's not - there's nothing more annoying than someone "having a go" on the mixer when you're halfway through a mix. It's the equivalent of nudging someone's elbow when they're trying to write. The equipment is expensive and mixing takes skill and patience - your grubby mits are not a part of that equation.
