Read any interview with Isaac Brock and you'll immediately notice one of two things: 1) the Modest Mouse frontman peppers every sentence with at least one expletive, or 2) the magazine printed an incredibly short interview because they had to cut out everything containing an f-bomb. It's all a part of Brock being an all-around genuine dude. He doesn't cuss to be provocative or sound cool, it's just the manner in which he speaks and it allows him to express his wholly earnest opinions. Take, for instance, his opinion on the city he calls home, Portland:
"Portland is weird, but its kind of a crappy weird. It is the most vagrant-ridden... its really f*ckin up my liberal mind. Im just like, what a collection of human turds... Its just a constant sh*tshow of fights. And thats just Portland keeping itself weird. But a lot of the keeping itself weird is actually just allowing people to be complete pieces of sh*t. And thats exhausting."
See? A genuine, non-stock opinion of where he decided to live. So f*ck off if you don't like the language he uses.
