15 Things Only Pearl Jam Fans Will Understand

9. Early 90s Fans Accept That They'll Be Used As A Crash Pad For Eddie Vedder's Ridiculous Stage Dives

'We're gonna take this to some people aren't gonna forget, and if that means risking your life, we're gonna do it' That's how Eddie Vedder justified jumping from some truly insane heights when interviewed for Cameron Crowe's documentary Pearl Jam Twenty. As you can see in the above video, Vedder seemed determined to do himself in by jumping off everything from camera masts to the top of the stage itself.

If you were located in the first, say, twelve rows at an early 90s Pearl Jam gig, you pretty much had to accept the fact that at some point during the concert, you might have to be called upon to catch a falling frontman. Thankfully, Vedder never seriously injured himself (although he did come out with thousands of scratches for his efforts).
