If you really want to put down some fool that insists Slipknot are better because they came first or whatever, point them in the direction of Stone Sour's history. The band may not have put out an album until 2000 (after Slipknot's debut), but they actually formed in 1992 - 3 years BEFORE Slipknot! In fact, it was Corey's performances with Stone Sour that persuaded Slipknot to poach him from the other band. So there you have it - Stone Sour not only came first, but actually inspired the direction that Slipknot would take in future.
