2. Hemoptysis
When it comes to the current thrash revival movement, I'm not that impressed. However, one band, Arizona's Hemoptysis managed to grab my attention with their two self released efforts in 2009s Who Needs a Shepard EP and 2011s Misanthropic Slaughter. Fronted by the ever promoting Masaki Murashita, the band's sound is a modernized take on the classic, slightly harsher Teutonic thrash of the late 80s rather than the Bay Area. With just the right balance of white top sneakers and big hair influenced classic riffs and modern shredding, rippage, I'll be surprised if these guys have not been signed before the retro thrash movement dwindles with far less talented denim clad mimics.
