A band that has been around since the mid-70s and still plays together well, especially when it comes to putting on a live show. Iron Maiden is often noted for being one of the best sounding bands live and age hasn't slowed them down a bit. While most old bands turn into lovable eyesores, playing hits they recorded twenty years before, the best they can, Maiden dives into each song like it's still 1984. Their music may have experienced a change in mood from Fear of the Dark to Brave New World, but the band themselves haven't changed a bit in thirty years. Some of their newer albums are more melodic, lacking the previous speed and fury of their earlier work; however, Maiden showed us they still got it when they released The Final Frontier, channeling heavy metal passion not heard in a long time. It's impressive as much as it is a joy to see them play live, watching five guys in their late fifties still bring more energy to the stage than most young bands starting out today.
