A sad truth that haunts great bands is as they age the weakest leak will inevitably be the singer. A singers body is their instrument, and unfortunately there is nothing to stop their instrument from falling apart later in life. The exception to this rule so far has been Bruce Dickinson. Bruce, for all we know, might be immortal. Even at fifty-five the man has more energy and stage presence than most lead singers half his age. While all the bandmates are active outside of Iron Maiden, none of them try to keep up with Bruce in concert as he charges about calling fans to scream for him, while still hitting the high notes. Its inspiring to know that Maiden isn't leaving us anytime soon. They are here to stay, and might as well since they have a singer with enough drive to hold down a weekend job as a pilot even in the middle of touring.
