18 Things Only Alter Bridge Fans Will Understand
3. ...And We've Learned To Love His Crazy Guitar Faces
How can you not? When you're a man possessing the power to lay down the riffs and solos that one Mark Thomas Tremonti can conjure out of his fingertips, you'd be doing the 'windtunnel-face' too!
So many artists get carried away trying to perfect a certain pose or worry about what they can and can't wear, but for Tremonti it's far easier; throw on a band shirt or some other such motor-racing paraphernalia and just do what comes naturally. If that means re-calibrating your spinal column by acting out the motions of a particularly effective woodcutter then so be it, the rest of us are joining in too.
2. There's No Fan Community Quite Like The AB Nation
You may or may not have heard of Loudwire's 'Cage Matches', but over the years they'll cherry-pick certain bands before pitting their respective fanbases off against each other. It could be anyone from Five Finger Death Punch to Papa Roach, but every time anyone has come up against the AB Nation, we've trounced them every time.
Not afraid to sit, arms dutily outstretched and poised for the 'one click per hour' banner to lift so we can secure another point for the boys, it's only one small part of what makes the Alter fanbase so phenomenal.
The other aspects that make themselves known when you start getting involved with the band's output are the likes of the 'Oh Myles God' fanpage, or the referral of Tremonti as The Tremonster among a seemingly endless amount of GIFs and memes that highlight certain song lyrics, humorous takes on the aforementioned point around people not recognising the band name, and everything in between.
Oh and did we mention that nearly all of us have tattoos inspired by the band? The iconic Blackbird symbol from the band's second album is the most prominent, but thanks to some exemplary lyrics along the way it's not uncommon to see entire passages sketched out across forearms and backs too.
