20 Exquisitely-Produced Songs That MUST Be Played Loud As Hell
11. Butch Walker "Don't Move"
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TnlpHKQXCps Speaking of Butch Walker, the guy may be most well known for his production credits (aside from Fall Out Boy, he's worked with Pink, Avril Lavigne, Weezer, and Dashboard Confessional, among others), but he absolutely does his best work on his own records. Case in point is "Don't Move," a spacious, vocally acrobatic power ballad from his 2004 masterpiece "Letters." It's my personal pick for "most well produced song ever," with a shimmering, atmospheric gleam on the verse that explodes into something more visceral on the soaring chorus. Walker shares production duties with Jim Ebert on the track, but he gets full credit for the song's "turn up the volume" force. By the time "Don't Move" winds around to its emotionally-pummelling bridge, Walker has made himself sound like the biggest rockstar on the planet not bad for a kid from north Georgia who got his start in a hair metal band.
