20 Exquisitely-Produced Songs That MUST Be Played Loud As Hell

10. M83 €“ "Intro"

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8jaBEyMhCcA When you see the title "Intro" on the track list for M83's ambitious double album, "Hurry Up, We're Dreaming," it's easy to imagine the track as little more than an ambient mood setter for the long, drawn out LP that follows. That's not the case. Instead, "Intro" is a sweeping, stadium-filling epic, a song that stretches on for five minutes and bursts with lush synthesizer saturations, desperate yelps from M83 mastermind Anthony Gonzalez, and even a goosebump-inducing guest feature from indie singer/songwriter Zola Jesus. For Gonzalez, himself a respected music producer, "Intro" is a high watermark, perfectly blending tropes of electronic music, orchestral films scores, expansive dream pop, and high-rise arena rock into one of the hugest sounding songs ever recorded. When played at high volume, the explosive climax can make you feel like you're blasting off into space.
