It's a debate as to which of the album's tracks is the peak, from the shameless power balladry of "Robbers" to the mesmerising mood setter that is "Menswear." In terms of sheer pop gravitas however, nothing quite measures up to "Sex," the band's signature song. By the time the debut album dropped, "Sex" had appeared in various forms on several different EPs, performed under a range of different band names and monikers. On the full length record, with Arctic Monkeys veteran Mike Crossey behind the boards, "Sex" positively takes flight, landing somewhere between U2-esque arena rock and Jimmy Eat World's sugary sweet brand of emo pop. The resulting cocktail is arguably the most melodically infectious song of the decade so far, a tune that demands maximum volume treatment and ample replay time.
