20 Greatest Punk Albums Ever Made

6. Misfits - Walk Among Us

The great thing about punk (and rock in general) is its ability to morph into a catalogue of different styles and techniques with ease. This is made apparent by the huge plethora of sub-genres in rock music today. One of the these sub-genres, horror punk, was popularised by Misfits and combines traditional punk with shock rock.

Released in 1982, 'Walk Among Us' was a bizarre twist on the classic punk sound that people had grown to recognise. With a distinct image, roaring delivery and relentless aggression, Misfits quickly rose up the ranks of punk rock. Featuring on this album are incredible punk rock classics such as 'Vampira', 'Skulls', 'Astro Zombies' and 'Mommy, Can I Go Out & Kill Tonight?'.
