20 Greatest Punk Albums Ever Made
15. Bad Religion - Recipe For Hate
Despite the immense quality of the early material released by Bad Religion, it is their 1993 album 'Recipe For Hate' which makes it into this top 20 list.
Forming in 1980, many people initially thought Bad Religion's arrival onto the punk scene came two years too late, but they soon proved their doubters wrong. Since Bad Religion broke through into fame thanks to their 1983 album, 'Into the Unknown', the politically charged Californians have remained relevant through continual reinventions and a series of great records.
Bad Religion have even scored a handful of hits in their careers, with one of these coming in the form of the 'Recipe for Hate' single, 'American Jesus'. Still to this day, 'American Jesus' and a number of other 'Recipe for Hate' songs are consistent features in Bad Religion's live performances. Some of these songs include 'Portrait of Authority', the title-track and other great tunes which were introduced through this timeless record.
