As part of his band's wider agenda, Jim Morrison's voice was transformative, and very much the door to higher-level perception he clearly always aimed for.

Watching him live might well have been a lottery, but there's no denying his vocal strength. And it was only thanks to that skill that he was able to be defiant and provocative on stage.
