https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=smzsIONNh0w The incredibly opinionated Morrissey, once lead singer of hugely popular band The Smiths, has been something of a political figure his entire life. An advocate of vegetarianism and shoplifting, The Manchester-born whiner even labelled one of his albums 'Meat Is Murder'. Morrissey keeps good company in penning an anti-Thatcher song, but that doesn't mean it managed to simply slip under the radar. It transpires that Morrissey and his quiff were cross-examined by Scotland Yard to see whether he was a potential threat to the then Prime Minister, Margaret Thatcher. With lyrics as blunt as 'when will you die?' appearing on his debut solo album (Viva Hate), it's little wonder the authorities decided to have a quick word. Being political isn't to say that Morrissey is always hugely popular in his views, though. As the supposedly asexual genius has aged, his opinions have become more radical, and as a result, he has slipped a little bit further from the public eye.
