When you listen to this album, please remember that it was created by a 21-22 year old man. To think someone Biggie Smalls age could create such an incredible album is frankly mind-blowing. Not only did he have some of the best producers in the hip hop at the time in Easy Mo Bee and DJ Premier, his lyrics were simply out of this world. He could rhyme fast, slow, tell stories about crime and drugs but still make a song for the ladies in the club. Put it this way: how many rappers have one collaboration on their debut album and it's Method man, one of the best rappers in the world? How many rappers are ballsy enough to carry on album by themselves? And most importantly, how many can actually make such a task work? Not many. And that's why this album is so great.
