http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C_oAsFLN7h0 Love is, as we know, can be many things, but this song is all about the euphoria that love can bring, no matter what stage the love is at - that moment when a being so unimpeachably wonderful has made their presence felt, or reminded you how powerful their love is, that makes you feel you can do anything the point of this song it not just all about ego but communion and you're so happy you just want to leap in the air. It starts with the lift that being on the receiving end of love from someone amazing bring and the fearlessness that brings "And I will stroll the merry way and jump the hedges first" but that gives way to the realisation that it's the power of the amazing being that has given you that fearlessness. Just like 'God Only Know' the conclusion is quite rightly a refrain of devotion "Oh sweet thing, sweet thing, sugar-baby with your champagne eyes and your saint-like smile, sweet thing..." And the rhythm is constant, unremitting, like the beat of the heart. Listen to this and look at picture of the one you love, it will remind you why you love them so...
