A band that deserved more success than they got who had a killer songwriter in Irwin Sparkes, The Hoosiers made it big with this single hitting #4 due to it's infectious rhythms, seemingly nonsensical lyrics, and guitar sounds reminiscent of bands like Modest Mouse or the Smiths.
The Hoosiers would have subsequent hits in the following years, but have since disappeared from the people's jukebox.
