20 Punk Rock Albums Turning 20 In 2020
4. The Anniversary - Designing A Nervous Breakdown
In the first month of 2000 the Kansas based outfit kicked off the millennium by releasing their debut full length to the world. The record managed to blend punk and emo in a way that not many others were capable of at the time.
Over the course of ten tracks and 40 minutes, The Anniversary managed to make something that was simultaneously trendy while remaining unique to them. It was also influential enough to keep the band relevant to this day despite only having one other full length album.
The CD was so important to both the band and it's fan base that they recently announced the "Designing a Nervous Breakdown tour", which is set to kick off this upcoming January. If you're a fan of this album and live in the American Midwest then you can see the Kansas based veterans play it in it's entirety.
