2. Travis Is The Single Greatest Drummer Of All Time
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CuNSn1z6ric When it comes to writing music, the three are all incredibly talented, creating some of the most diverse songs across various genres in their respective careers, together and apart. However when it comes to playing music, its no secret that Travis is in a league of his own. Mark rocks on bass and Tom is great on guitar, no question. But its Travis who is the man of the hour. He can play whilst spinning three-sixty on a rotating platform in front of tens of thousands of screaming fans. He played with a broken arm for three weeks before the problem was discovered and went on to play one-handed on tour with +44 (hands up, who remembers how awesome that was?). He's well-known amongst critics for being a skilled drummer, but it takes a real fan to fully appreciate his virtuosity, to see him live going all-out, night after night. He is technically incredible. His handwork is amazing, hes ingenious at crafting new beats and he doesnt use or need the double bass pedal like a lot of his metal counterparts because he can kick that fast with just the one. 1. Whats My Age Again?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K7l5ZeVVoCA Above all, this is the one thing fans understand. Youre never too old to have fun, and you sure as hell dont grow out of blink-182. Theyre like the music industrys version of Robert Downey, Jr. Theyve got a healthy dose of immaturity and arrogance, and you love them for it. Hearing that opening chord slide down at the start of All the Small Things can transport you back to your youth, filling you with energy and making you feel young again, and not just the bittersweet nostalgia of wanting to feel young again, but actually doing so. Theyre a perfect choice to headline Reading and Leeds, and if youve not already made plans for the Bank Holiday weekend, make sure you dont miss their set on the TV if you cant make it out to one of the festivals. Theyre guaranteed to make it killer. Are there any other small things (sorry, we couldn't resist) we missed that bond the blink-brethren together? Let us know in the comments!
