https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9Ht5RZpzPqw Fans of the band will be all too familiar with the frequent criticism that seems to fall on blink, that anyone could play or write their music because all the guitar does is play power chords. As true as that is for a lot of their earlier music, it still doesnt change the fact that the music is amazing, and that it sold tens of millions of albums, so clearly there are a lot of people who agree. Good music doesnt have to be difficult to play; that doesnt even come into it. All that matters is the end result, and as referenced above in All Killer No Filler, these guys know how to write a tune.
5. Album Cover Letters
Just like directors and writers like to litter their films with a little Easter egg here and there, blink also has a tradition when it comes to releasing their records, and its something only their fans understand. They began the tradition way back in 1993 when they released their own first album, Flyswatter, emblazoned with a massive letter A on the cover. Budda continued the tradition in 94, featuring the letter B on the cover, and every record since has had the next letter of the alphabet somewhere, discreetly or otherwise, featured on it. Neighborhoods brings the alphabet up to the letter J amongst the rooftops, so keep your eyes peeled for K whenever their next record rolls around.
Movie / TV enthusiast with a DVD and Blu-ray collection bigger than I'd care to admit. If anyone is offering creative / furniture solutions to house them, I'm all ears.
