However, we also know that it can be a little annoying when an overzealous Nine Inch Nails fan steps in and claims that Trent made Manson. Yes, Reznor did produce some of the most seminal Manson discs, but he was only the producer, not the songwriter. Now that that's out of the way, we'll admit that sometimes we see a picture of Reznor and Manson in better times and get a bit misty. The "Star**ckers Inc." video may appear on our YouTube feed and we can't help but watch. However, Reznor's always been far more acrimonious towards Manson than the other way around. He was the one who called our favorite makeup-loving monster a "dopey clown" completely unprovoked. We only need to point to how Manson calmly replied in 2012, stating "I don't think there's tension. I don't think we ever really had a lot in common." It's sad for sure, but we know there's zero chance of Reznor and Manson ever making amends.
