20 Things Only Marilyn Manson Fans Will Understand

9. How Ridiculously Good His Covers Are

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1nO_P4BH4pA Alright, so it sounds a bit biased to make this statement, but it's really, really true. Fans and non-fans alike are aware of Manson's scary-as-all-get-out version of the Eurythmics' classic "Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This)", which is dark and grisly, and his pulsing Depeche Mode redo of "Personal Jesus." Both of those songs are impossible not to love. Then there's his rather straightforward rendition of "Tainted Love" (a cover of a cover by Soft Cell), which landed on the soundtrack for Not Another Teen Movie, where in the video Manson turns nerd girls into hot goths, shoves Chris Evans (who plays a jock), and crashes a party. Even those that don't enjoy Manson's songs may gravitate towards these fantastic covers. We're also lucky enough that Manson and his band have tried their collective hand at "The KKK Took My Baby Away" by the Ramones and "Come Together" by the Beatles. Although these songs only exist as shoddy-quality live cuts that someone graciously recorded during a concert, we still listen to them over and over and over again.
