20 Universally-Hated Songs That Are Actually Technically Very Good

3. Limp Bizkit - My Way

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dn8vzTsnPps Limp Bizkit are one of those bands who make it very easy to hate them. The poster boys for Nu-metal ridiculousness, fronted by potentially the most un-likeable person this side of Justin Bieber, they made their name in the late 90s/early 2000s with a string of incredibly popular, yet somehow awful songs, one of which even hit the top of the UK charts (the woeful Rollin'). My Way is by far the best thing they ever did (which isn't saying much) and if you strip away the angry, pouting break up lyrics what you have is a band who is incredibly capable and horrendously underused underneath Fred Durst's ego. Look at Wes Borland's guitar work which infuses jazz chords and unusual voicings with radio friendly chord progressions for the chorus, that incredible bassline or even John Otto's off-beat and off-kilter drum lines. Why oh why did such a talented band have to be saddled with such a ridiculous frontman?
