21 Best Punk Albums Of The 21st Century
11. Anti-Flag - Underground Network
Like many bands on this list, Pittsburgh's Anti-Flag have been around for much longer than most people realise. Originally forming in 1988, the punk group's original stint was incredibly short lived and they disbanded before the end of 1989. However, they reformed in 1992 and the rest is history.
Anti-Flag erupted into punk rock stardom in 1996 through their debut album, 'Die For the Government', which set solid foundations for a career which is going strong to this day. However, their third album, 'Underground Network' (2001) remains one of their crowning achievements. In an era for the band where it seemed they couldn't get any better, this album proved fans and critics alike entirely wrong.
Key songs from this album include the title-track, 'Angry, Young & Poor', 'Watch the Right' and 'This Machine Kills Fascists'. Anti-Flag now have twelve studio albums to their name with a thirteenth titled 'Lies They Tell Our Children' coming in 2023.
