16. People Assume You Can Play Everything By Ear

A similar issue to that where people request you play random songs, there is a strange stereotype that guitar players can just learn a song by hearing it on the radio. Sure, there are talented people who can do this, and good for them (*internal sulking*), but this does not hold quite true for the majority. Most of the time, the best answer is to fake it. Talk about a song, hurriedly google the tab, and then next time you see that person break out some half-remembered chord magic. Then just wait for the compliments to rain down, as four chords in a certain sequence become the road to social admiration.
