21 Most Replayable Rock Albums Of All Time

11. Iron Maiden - Number Of The Beast

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J51LPlP-s9o Maiden fans pride themselves on rarely having the same favourite album as the next guy - which over the years has been a blessing and a curse for the band when it comes to putting together a festival setlist, however it's safe to say that when one Bruce Dickinson finally joined the ranks and the world heard what a rebooted and refocussed effort could bring us - i.e. one of the most righteous metal screams of all time on the title track, and a vocal performance for the ages - they self-penned their name into the history books all over again. Number of the Beast remains the gateway Maiden album, as well as many fans' sweet spot due to a heady mix of nostalgia and/or genuine affinity for the likes of Run to the Hills, 22 Acacia Avenue or the mighty Hallowed Be Thy Name to warrant repeat listens. This was the first taste the world would get of Bruce's iconic snarl, and although the years have treated him rather well all things considered, NOTB remains a record for the archives, still cementing the definitive 'Iron Maiden sound' for tens of thousands of fans both young and old. It's impossible to get sick of: Run to the Hills. It's a sad fact that not more bands incorporate full-step bends from every stringed instrument at once to construct parts of songs, but 'Hills has become the underground club-anthem it is now because of exactly that.
