We live in a society where music has an integral impact on the way we function. We all know how sounds have a profound effect on memory - producing nostalgic or lamentable emotions from the listener. Unfortunately, the current generation of teenagers will have to look back and reminisce over Disney pop stars, prepubescent teens, and other "music" littered with inexcusable solecisms, malapropisms, and every other abomination to music and the English language. I've been researching some popular sites and their input on the best albums of the 2000s, and I must say, I am petrified by the results. In this top 25 list you won't find talentless albums from talentless artists, but you will find an unadulterated collection of what I believe to be the best albums from 2000-2010. I had quite a bit of trouble compiling this list so I hope it doesn't disappoint. Also, I know I will cause an uproarious response from some, and that's quite alright, but keep in mind, music tastes differ across the globe, and what I might find palatable to my ears, others may not. However, if this list serves any purpose at all, I would like it to at least offer new music for some of you to absorb, in an attempt to, let's say, enhance your perception of modern music.
