21. Young and Lovely
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ui94_qtkavs When Blur played this 'Modern Life'-era B-side in the 2012 live dates, Albarn claimed the band never really fully understood the track. And though it's a track that's definitely grown with age, fatherhood and twenty years' reflection, it's one that always been gloriously simple in melody. The "oh no why... why d'you do it?" that soars over the chorus is perhaps one of the band's finest hooks, and it just seems to compliment the lovely la-la-las, the gentle strum and the plucky piano tinkles of the track. It's as breezy as A-side 'Chemical World', as singalong as 'For Tomorrow' and as loveable as anything Damon has ever written.
