20. Saturday Come Slow

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JnE8dxbonDQ If you're struggling to write your first album in years, it's probably a wise move to ask your friend, the most productive man in music, to come and lend a hand. That's exactly what Massive Attack did when they invited Albarn to their studio. And once he'd rejected their lyric suggestions, he laid one of his finest vocal takes, in what's a love letter to the limestone caves and the magic of South West England. Most of his career, he's looked from London out, with a slight malaise or discomfort about his surroundings; 'Saturday Come Slow' is a wide-eyed, inspired look at another town, and for a band considered spiky and unapproachable, it's a blissful piece of music. Of course, it's charmingly melancholic, but what else did you expect?
