25 Best Metal Albums Of The Decade

14. Nails - Unsilent Death (2010)

Unsilent Death f*cking rips.

This is the sonic equivalent of being grabbed by the throat, spat in the face, punched in the nose, then drowned in mud. It's the kind of experience the term "powerviolence" was invented for, and a furious, grinding maelstrom of venom and bile, with its European OSDM riffs coated in some of the filthiest production imaginable, though Unsilent Death rarely sacrifices clarity for dirt.

Nails' discography is so strong that any of their three studio albums could've realistically featured on this list. These 14 minutes of crusty, grinding misanthropy get the nod for its disgusting blend as a perfect blend of extreme punk and metal.
