30 Grime Albums You Must Hear Before You Die

16. Flava D - More Love

Flava D is another example of one of the few female grime artists that has been afforded the exposure of her male counterparts. An associate of Butterz, a modern grime label, the producer has carved out a unique sound that blends the slinkiness of garage with the harshness of grime. Her mixtape More Love, released via BandCamp, is the best collection of her work to date and displays a genuine diversity of sounds. Flava D's star is rapidly growing in the grime scene, and it shouldn't be long before some of the biggest names are looking to collaborate with her. Also, definitely check out her (non-mixtape) tracks Hold On and Home. They're both right up there with the most intelligently crafted grime songs of the last 5 years.
