4 Reasons Why The XX Shouldn't Be £40 A Ticket Band

3. It Makes Them Look Like They Have Sold Out

I€™m sure that The XX love music, or else they wouldn€™t be doing it. They€™d probably do it for free if they were able to get the same exposure. I€™m not asking them to do it for free, I understand there is money to be made, and it€™s a simple fact of life. But, White Lies were once quoted saying that they make very little money from record sales and most of their money comes from touring, yet their ticket prices remained reasonable. When you are a band in it€™s Infancy like The XX and you realise you can charge virtually what you want to get people in the stalls and you do, that makes you look like a bit of a fiendish money grabber. It makes them look like they€™re more interest in the money in the bank than allowing any income bracket into their gigs on a first come first serve basis.
