4 Reasons Why The XX Shouldn't Be £40 A Ticket Band

4. They€™re Not Even That Famous

Sure, their album sales are impressive but they are not that famous. If you ask someone who isn€™t an avid music fan and just tunes into daytime Radio One now and again chances are they aren€™t going to have heard of The XX. The only time the price for a ticket should reach these heights is if they are either as mainstream as ice cream and everyone is desperate for a ticket or if they€™re a band with a massive back catalogue on their comeback or greatest hits tour where no one has seen them for years. The XX, none of these. They€™re simply in that weird twilight zone between mainstream and underground where you do find a lot of good music about to break through, but pretentiousness runs high with the band being able to claim the props for being indie and the dollar for being mainstream.
