5 Bands To Check Out If You Love Tool
3. Atomic Vulture
Despite being mostly instrumental, this Belgian three-piece group don’t hesitate in showcasing their originality, diversity and conviction in every song.
Atomic Vulture formed in 2011 and generally consider themselves to be a ‘stoner/ space rock’ band, although the progressive 90’s inspiration is almost impossible to miss. Their rough-edged, groovy and bass-tinted style has earned them the right to play live with big stoner rock names such as Desert Storm, Greenleaf and others.
In their nearly ten-year run as a band so far, Atomic Vulture have released three EP’s and one full-length studio album. The most recent of these releases is 2018’s ‘Stone of the Fifth Sun’ EP, easily their most successful release to date. The future is looking bright for Atomic Vulture as they have been booked for Alcatraz Festival 2021 alongside some huge names such as Testament, Heilung, Cradle of Filth and Hatebreed.
