5 Best Pop Punk Albums Of 2013

5. The Story So Far €“ What You Don't SeeWhat You Dont See Sophomore releases tend to get a great reaction in the pop punk scene €“ look at NFG's 'Sticks and Stones' or Fall Out Boy's 'From Under The Cork Tree' as examples. The Story So Far had a lot to live up to given the strength of their debut album 'Under Soil and Dirt' and while 'What You Don't See' doesn't quite live up to those expectations, it still cements The Story So Far as one of the best bands in the scene right now. Delivered with the urgency of a hardcore record, The Story So Far tear through the album in just under half an hour, barely even stopping to breathe. Opener 'Things I Can't Change' has a chorus that begs to be shouted along to and songs like 'Empty Space' and 'Small Talk' will be rattling around in your head for days after with the latter's quick-fire drumming leaving a lasting impression. 'Framework' closes the album with soaring guitar lines accompanying the melodies of Parker Cannon's voice; it's equal parts ambitious and uplifting. With a few more stand out songs, The Story So Far would have a strong contender for No.1 on this list €“ don't misunderstand though, 'What You Don't See' is still very worthy of your time.

I have an addiction to achievements, a craving for new bands and a dream to become Captain America. I once finished second in a Mario Kart 7 tournament so I'm kind of a big deal.
