5 Good Albums With Terrible Covers

2. Patrick Wolf €“ The Magic Position

The Magic PositionThe Album €“ He might be the closest you can get to Nathan Barley whilst still being listenable, but The Magic Position was one of the best albums of 2007. Inventive and spellbinding throughout, here you'll find Accident & Emergency which, along with the title track, is about as uplifting as music gets. On this album, Patrick found a way to bottle positivity. And for that we can forgive him anything. The Cover €“ Anything, that is, apart from the cover. I mean, it could work, but look at his face. It's like he's saying €œI'm quirky, yeah? Live with it.€ As a result, he looks less like a delightful pop sprite and more like the sort of person that's not allowed near local schools.
