5 Guitarists That Could Replace DJ Ashba In Guns N' Roses

5. Zakk Wylde

The first name on the list is also the most unlikely. Zakk Wylde, best known as Ozzy Osbourne's guitarist, is one of the hardest players and, despite the harshness of his tone, has a tremendous ability to write really beautiful and emotional solos. Just check out his most famous solo track In This Rive, a balladic tribute to his deceased friend Dimebag Darrell. Many GN'R fans are against the idea of Wylde joining the band because of his more-metal-than-thou look and the heavy nature of his sound, but there is no doubt that he has talent. He's also reportedly got a good relationship with Axl Rose and hooked up with the band during the recording of Chinese Democracy. Sadly, the fact that he rejected the opportunity to be with them full-time back then makes it unlikely that he'd jump at the chance now, but he would certain amp up the band's sound and complement Bumblefoot and Fortus very nicely.
