4. Brandon Flowers (The Killers)
In 2010 Brandon Flowers decided to take a break from his extremely successful band, The Killers to pen a solo record and take it on tour. Flamingo isn't as heavy as The Killers numerous albums but Flowers' solo effort certainly does have similarities to his band's music. This is probably most prominent in the strongest song of the record - "Crossfire". The album reached number 1 in the UK and managed a respectful 8 in the US. Flowers' solo music was also well received at his live gigs and at festivals. The American is back touring with The Killers after releasing their new album but it would be great to see him produce another solo record in the future. Song to listen to: Crossfire
