5 Most Underrated And Overrated Albums Of 2013 (So Far)

4. The Black Angels - Indigo Meadow

Indigo-Meadow-front-crop Nostalgic psychedelic rock is making a mark on the world - I'm pointing at you, Tame Impala and Perth, Australia-related bands. But, let's travel to Austin, Texas, where you'll hear the most hooky psych-rock of the year. The Black Angels push heavy riffs next to crashing cymbals to transport you to those seminal late 60's to dance with the flower people of San Francisco. Incredible tracks like "Don't Play With Guns" and "Love Me Forever" have a unrelenting composure about them that is infectious. Space-y "Always Maybe" dazes out and trips euphorically, softly dancing on the pleasure receptors of your brain. Indigo Meadow is a surprisingly catchy record, and it never fails to bore.
