Us Brits often overlook the origins of where a band comes from, unless they obviously have some connection to you personally or geographically. It's always inspiring to see British bands make it globally, to where they only reach that level of success from initial local support, then national, which ultimately helps them make it globally. With bands often giving back to their fans either with meet and greets, smaller, more intimate gigs or even extended UK tours - I believe The Darkness have been guilty of all three. Especially more so recently than previous years. Their current tour, after keeping fairly discrete with previous festival and tour appearances since Justin's return from once leaving the band, saw their desire to go to as many UK cities as possible so everyone had the opportunity to go. Even with multiple dates at the same location, you could even see them two consecutive nights if you so desire. The fact of not rushing through the UK on a potential world-tour since the reformation, which was on the cards for such a long time, makes me think they are returning what we have given. Love and support.
