Be careful with this reason, as you may find yourself suffering from The Graduate syndrome - by which we mean the hunting of a specific LP can almost be as fun as having the recording itself, if not more so. Lets imagine youve come across a cult band of some previous decade. The band are so off the beaten track that they havent re-issued their material on CDs, let alone stuck them online. Theres only one thing you can do pack up a bag of essentials and embark on an expedition into the wild world of record retailers. Going for a search through markets, antique centres, even charity shops and car-boot sales can be a goldmine for LPs, and who knows what dangers you may face on your travels, or the people you may meet along the way that can help you out or point you in another lucrative direction? This can lead into another reason why LPs are better than downloads all this searching gets you plenty of outdoor exercise, especially when flicking through rows and rows of records. Acting as the proverbial couch potato in front of your computer scanning the internet for that cult band isnt quite the same as actually getting off your bum and going for a mini adventure, is it?
