Now of course, one advantage for downloads over LPs is physical space. Those without a suitably-sized room would easily benefit from having some 100 albums worth of songs embedded within a tiny device rather than having them sprawled out album by album across a room. But just wait until that euphoric feeling of owning a collection flows over you. Imagine that sense of achievement when one day, you look at your shelves and realise that all the effort you put into finding these records was well worth it, staring you right back. Besides, which is more impressive? Holding up your MP3 and timidly saying to the world This is mine, or spreading your records around you like soldiers to a general and shouting to the world This whole collection is mine! Exactly.
