5 Reasons Why We Love Jimmy Eat World

3. They Talk About Love, Without Being Whiny And Cringe-inducing

Not all of JEW's lyrical content is about love but the majority of it does revolve around the most potent of human emotions. The manner in which they deliver their tales of the highs and lows regarding matters of the heart comes across as sincere and and full of integrity. How easy it is to relate to so much of what they write about cannot be understated and the band were even drafted in as a surprise addition to Tom Delonge's (Blink 182) wedding ceremony by his wife. The couple fell in love to the bands song Episode IV from their album 'Static Prevails'. There are literally thousands of tales of lovers having the band as their soundtrack to significant moments in their relationship. The band enjoy a status among harder music fans, and indeed, members of much heavier bands, as their favorite "mellow band", or what they listen to with their other half. Sometimes all people need to know is that musicians are true to themselves and never seem to be faking it. One listen to 'For Me This is Heaven', from third record, 'Clarity', shows that these guys are the real deal.

Live and work in Aberdeen, Scotland...unfortunately. Sang in My Minds Weapon (Basick/Drakkar/Sony) for ten years (2002 - 2012) and now just tinkering with various other projects. Die hard Leeds United fan. Metalhead in my heart but also love many other genres of music. Also enjoy anything with Christopher Walken or David Caruso. Family live in Perth, Australia, so have been there many times. Best place in the world.
