5 Reasons Why You Should Be Listening To The Interrupters

1. They're Keeping Punk And Ska Alive!

While Rancid don't seem like giving up any time soon, it seems like they are well and truly passing the torch to Interrupters.

Tim Armstrong is an honorary fifth member of the band, joining them onstage from time to time and playing an instrumental role in the band's meteoric rise. Having worked together on Armstrong's Tim Timebomb and Friends project that saw a song released every day, Armstrong repaid the favour by producing The Interrupters' entire discography and guesting on several songs.

While Interrupters aren't a direct reincarnation of Rancid, you can definitely add the punk band to the cocktail of influences that have resulted in the Interrupters. From Aimee's Joan Jett-esque vocals to the band's love of all things ska, The Interrupters seem to be simultaneously reviving punk and ska in the mainstream while adding a new twist.

From the Fred Perry polo shirts and Dr Martens boots, to watching Dance Craze before they take to the stage for every show, The Interrupters don't just talk the talk, they most definitely walk the walk and bring together older fans looking for the next big thing in two genres that seemingly peaked in the '80s, while adding their own twist to bring on board younger fans looking for the hottest new band.

Will you join the Family? All I can say is that it's a pleasure, an honour and a privilege to listen to The Interrupters.
