5 Reasons Why You Should Be Listening To The Interrupters

2. They Really Are A Family

"Welcome to the...family!"

This isn't merely a line for Aimee Interrupter to yell before the band charge into another one of their hit songs. The Interrupters are well and truly a family, and they're always taking in new members!

As you may have gathered, Justin and Jesse Bivona are identical twin brothers, which may just be why the rhythm section is so tight. It's almost like they have a telekinetic bond, one that only comes from knowing each other since even before they were born. Add to that big brother Kevin, who likes to proclaim that he's the wiser, more talented, better looking brother - and there's almost a Beach Boys' theme to the band's vocal harmonies.

That isn't where it ends, though, as Kevin Bivona is married to lead singer Aimee Interrupter. All four members of the band are intrinsically linked. Add to this that The Bivonas are of Italian descent, and Aimee's mother is Sicilian, and the pair have so much more in common than you ever could imagine.

That family grows, though, at every single live performance, as the band welcome their audience to the family, with every heartwarming blast of, "This is my family" during their notorious encore track.
